Appearance and interiority overlap, virility and sensitivity intertwined tell us about ways of inhabiting the body and the male community today in Buenos Aires. In the images, tattooed bodies and carefully groomed virile appearances so common in Argentina come into dialogue with what is invisible and often silenced; their emotions and feelings.
In this country where, over the past decade, gender issues have profoundly challenged the understanding of social norms and expectations — particularly those placed on women — we are given here the opportunity to take stock and ask ourselves: and what about men, where do they stand?
“Te amo perdóname” is a series that blends photography and writing on masculinities through the theme of Love. Thirteen portraits of men from diverse socio-economic backgrounds, ages, sexual orientations and genders, the artist sketches a fragment of Buenos Aires, beautiful, moving and at times frightening.
