First there are memories of a dance never seen before, not even on video. These are the photographic traces and archival texts of Jean Weidt, a dancer and gardener of the 1920s. The dance seems driven by the concrete and efficient gestures of gardening and puts the action of dancing and the cultivation of the earth in relation to each other.

With only fragments of these gestures and texts remaining came the need to invent methods to approach them, to feel the commitment of the heart, the work of the hands and the involvement of the facial muscles in this dance.

The exploration around forgotten movements is a process that I would like to share as if I were trailing a vanished presence, in search of clues left by an animal on the verge of extinction. How to stimulate the imagination, to let figures appear in the gap between a disappeared and fantasized original and an actual body trying to slip into these ghostly gestures?
