“VIEIL” (“OLD”) is a solo performance. The environment is all white, there is a faint harmonium music. The actor draws with charcoal the story he’s telling us. It is the story of an old giant, an old continent that carries his axe on his shoulder. An old continent, it is a bit like an old giant: an old friend that we admire, even though we are aware his flaws.
In “VIEIL”, there is a giant with a broken collarbone, a house made of pine wood, a grumpy owl, an old lady and young man in love. The story perfectly balances between Western and Fairy tale; it is told through words and drawings.
