"I was born in Reims (France) in 1992. I trained as an actor at the Comédie de Reims, Centre Dramatique National, and studied directing at the I.N.S.A.S in Brussels. I both direct and perform while collaborating with other artists (Ivana Müller, Paola Pisciottano, Mikael Serre, Audrey Apers, Elsa Chêne).
Since 2019, I have been creating performances and shows to be disseminated in a kit form, at the border between digital arts and installations. My work deals with issues such as ecology applied to live art or the use of digital objects (drones, computers, internet) to seek political and artistic subterfuges to integrate into our daily lives.
In my daily life and work, I regularly devote my time to learning and practicing what I don’t know. For my first creation Hello world. I had to learn how to program a drone, to control it, to make part of the show autonomous, etc. Beyond the shows, I have an attraction for dance (I always dreamed of being a dancer), programming, hacking, video creation, gardening, music - everything that surrounds me but that I can’t grasp yet. Over the years, I’ve chosen not to limit myself to the rendering of projects, but to imagine additional devices to be deployed next to the performance, in various forms, mediums, and lengths, directly related to the subject matter of a piece.
I also co-create a collective performance piece called 3rd Wave tackling the application of ecology in live art since 2019. This constantly evolving project develops as a performance distributed via kit, as well as the organisation of forums and a publishing project. " - Maxime Arnould
