Léa, Aurélien and Maxime are three young artists working between Belgium and France. In 2019, they decided to collaborate on the issue of ecology applied to the field of live art.
Ecology is of concern to us. Not simply as "environmental protection" but mostly as the study of an environment, of its relations, of what links us to a particular place. Ecology in the sense of care for social justice and the intrinsic consequences of capitalism on the living.
Our research starts with a paradox: in our personal lives, we reflect daily on ecology. But up until now, we never tried to translate these considerations to the creation of live art, meaning to our work. What can we do as art workers in our sector facing this question, at a time of a general raising of consciousness around the social and political issues of ecology?
3rd Wave, an ecology of live performance written and directed by Léa Tarral, Aurélien Leforestier and Maxime Arnould. It benefits from the production support of Entropie Production and the benevolent eye of Aurore Stalin (SLOWDANSE). The creation is supported by CENTQUATRE PARIS, le far° Nyon, Théâtre de Poche (Hédé-Bazouges). Co-produced by La Bellone and La Fabrique de Théâtre (Bouverie).
